30 day blog challenge-Day 9- Something you're proud of in the last few days

Mmm. This is a hard one. I suppose I was quite proud of the fact that I didn't spend £50 on a bag yesterday or £100 on a jacket. They were gorgeous though. I was also proud that I didn't cry in front of anyone when Esmé went away on Monday.

30 day blog challenge- Day 8-Short term goals for this month and why

My goals for this month are to help get Esmé settled into to nursery and get back into the uni routine. I would also like to sort out my mini Filofax to be a journal.

30 day blog challenge-Day 07- A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

This is a photo of me and Esmé. She means everything to me and I don't know where I would be without her. We do everything together and I'm lost when she isn't with me.

30 day blog challenge-Day 06- Favorite super hero and why

It has taken me all day to try and come up with an answer to this one. To be honest, I don't really have a favourite superhero. I generally prefer the villain as the superhero is usually quite cheesy. I.e superman.
So there you have it. I don't do the superhero thing

30 Day Blog Challenge-Day 05- A picture of somewhere you’ve been to

This photo was taken from the top of the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas. It's looking down along the strip. We went to Las Vegas in June. My best friend got married there and I was chief bridesmaid.

Introducing My Personal Malden, Marco

So. My personal Malden arrived yesterday. I was soo excited it was unbelievable. I wanted to make sure I savoured the moment as everyone gave high praise to it.

I was like a child at Christmas!

Then it came to opening it. This was a very delicate process. I was nervous when unwrapping it. Although the Malden has positive reviews I read one comment that said the vintage pink looked like meat. This made all sorts of visions rush through my head.

It was open. I LOVED IT!!!! The smell was amazing. It felt so soft. The colour was gorgeous and not at all "meat like".

I sat and looked at it for what seemed like ages. It was a work of art.

The fastening was gorgeous, like a strong arm holding you.

And the back was equally as impressive.
As the Filofax had been preowned I needed to order a new diary insert which luckily came the same day.

I also ordered some stickers and credit card pockets.

So now we get to see how I have organised my Malden.
I use my Filofax for diary and general notes usually. This one I intended to be my life.

With the zip pocket I hope to keep my money and use it as a purse when I'm brave enough to do so. My main cards will also go in the front.

Once open we have sticky notes to hand and personal information.

Then we have the diary. I like week to view as it has plenty of room.

I don't like my diary looking empty so I tend to doodle in it to make it look pretty. It will look more full once I get back to uni next month.
I love the black ruler that came with it.

My pocket urban came with a clear one that I disliked.

The Malden came with 4 tabs which suited me. I never use 6. These are to be organised as follows;
Tab 1.

My Filofax stickers. I love these. They brighten up the diary.

Tab 2.

This is my notes section. I have transferred over my noisy neighbour notes for safekeeping and have four colours of paper.

Pink for general notes. Lilac hasn't got a purpose as yet. I just like the colour. Blue is for important information, passwords etc. Green is my Christmas list as inspired by Imy.

This is where I write down everyone I need to buy for and what I have bought already.

Tab 3.

This is work in process. This is going to be my uni section. It's my final year so will have loads of dissertation work and notes to store for quick access.

Tab 4.

-This has a list of phone numbers from my phone. The Filofax came with A-Z tabs but I don't use it and it therefore took up unnecessary space. My numbers take up 2 pieces of paper which I find better.

Then there is to do and pages for web addresses. I'm not sure if these will stay in or not. I tand to either write on the note book at the back or post it notes at the front.
After the tabs I have a clear plastic pocket and 2 lots of credit card pockets.

At the very back I have a notepad which will be used mostly for uni for dissertation meetings and any notes I need to make.

I have my 4 colour bic pen which I love to write in the diary with. I was gutted that it didn't fit in the pen holder so it just tucks in the edge of the pocket next to the notepad. Instead I have my Filofax barley pen in the holder.

So there we have it. My filofax Personal Malden that I have named Marco. I love him to bits and he will be a big part of my life.

I hope you enjoyed an insight of my life :)

30 day blog challenge-Day 04- A habit that you wish you didn’t have

Ooh. Now this is a hard one. I wish I wasn't so superstitious/OCD. A simple walk to the park can be disastrous. Have I locked the door? Have I turned everything off? Have I left the keys in the door? Oh crap. There's a magpie. "morning mr magpie" then I have to look for another magpie. "one for sorrow, two for joy etc". Avoid three drains. Then I have to sit on a particular swing and a particular seat on the roundabout. Then have to avoid seeing White cats. All while ensuring the little one doesn't run too far ahead in case a car just happens to veer off the road onto the path.
There are probably more things I could add to that walk, it's just a bit too early.
Welcome to the crazy world of Rapunzel :)

30 day blog challenge-Day 03- A picture of you and your friends

This photo was taken at our end of year psychology social. It was a fantastic night. Just a pity not many lecturers turned up.

The next photo is a pic of me and my best friend Kerry.

I was chief bridesmaid at her wedding in June at Las Vegas. An awesome time was had by everyone who went.

The next photo was taken before a lecture at uni and has my lovely Boofle with us. I love this photo.

So there you have it. A photo or 3 of me and my friends.

The calm before the storm- Awaiting the arrival of my personal Malden

So, I finally caved in and decided to see what all the fuss was about the Filofax Malden. I didn't need one and wasn't really interested in it. But then I made the mistake of looking on the Filofax website after I had read many tweets about it. 5* reviews I was greeted by on their homepage.

I was intrigued, so I had a little look.

Wow!! I loved it!! No words could express the love. The more I looked at it the more I "needed" it. I had to have one. All of the colours were fantastic so I didn't mind which one I bought.

So I started an eBay search. Pretty pricey really, I thought. There is NO way I can buy one. Then, whilst on twitter, I saw a post from Philofaxy with someone selling a vintage pink personal Malden. ITS FATE!! I thought, and went to have a look.

It looked fantastic. And it was pink. What more could I want!!??

After a few emails a cheque was in the post for this little beauty.
I am hoping it arrives in the post tomorrow.
I can't wait to open it

I will keep you posted.
Bye for now
:)

30 day blog challenge-Day 02- The meaning behind your blog name

I didn't really know what to have as a blog name as I was new to the whole thing. I have a tumblr account that I rarely use, and most people just reblog pictures. It was when I was having a Facebook chat with Imy and she suggested Rapunzel's world. My Facebook name is Fairy-Rapunzel. This comes from when my brother in law saw me with my long blonde hair and said that I looked like some fairy mythical creature. So that is how I became to be Fairy-Rapunzel and hence Rapunzel's world.

My Pocket Urban Filofax

My latest edition to my Filofax family is my pocket urban in slate. I had been using my mini lyndhurst for a while and wanted something bigger. As soon as I saw the urban on the Filofax website I fell in love with it, and it was on offer. Bonus!!!!

I love the presstud fastening on it.

I wanted this one to have mainly just my diary and any notes that I needed to make so there isn't a whole lot in there. So next is a shot of the inside.

I have my information and all the little info bits that come with the Filofax. I use a week on two pages as I don't write a lot in there. Just things I need to remember. I also doodle in there to make it look pretty.

I made my own inserts to go inside it. They are made from holographic card from Wilkinsons.

In the first section I have an assortment of note paper. I use a different colour for different topics. Currently, grey gor important things to remember. White, for things I need to buy. And currently, light blue for noisy neighbour activity.
The next section holds my Filofax stickers.

The third section has my to do list in it.

And my fourth and final section has a clear plastic wallet and card holders.

I then have a notepad at the back for easy accessibility for quick notes. I don't feel a need for an address book in this Filofax. Just the essentials. My pen holder has my old ever faithful bic limited edition 4 colour. I love this pen.

It is a bit of a squeeze, but I don't like using any other pen.

At the moment there isn't anything in the zip pocket. I was contemplating using it as a wallet when I put my cards into the Filofax, but am currently awaiting the arrival of a Malden so everything is on hold.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of my pocket urban.
