New ideas for new Tracyley

Hey everyone.

As everyone probably knows, the Tracyley was finally sold last weekend with many thanks to City Organiser

So now I'm finished at uni I have more time for Filofax play.

I'm keen on making another Tracyley based on a personal sized domino this time in ultra violet and am keen on hearing any ideas for designs that people may have.

The Philofaxy Meet up May 26th 2012 Part 1.

Hey everyone.

**Warning!! This post is picture heavy!!
On Saturday we had the Philofaxy meet up in London. People present were myself, Imy, Louise, Cat, Steve, Andy, Thomas, Sharon, Karen, Preethi and Yasmin.
Imy Louise and Cat very kindly met me at Kings Cross and we made our way to The Tate.

We called in at the Filofax shop on Neal Street and picked up the new catalogue.




Then we made our
way to The Tate to meet the others.
















The dreaded Millennium bridge in the distance.




The Filofaxes came out almost immediately.




Lovely food was consumed and enjoyed by all.
































After we finished browsing Filofaxes, eating and drinking, we made our way over to City Organiser.

The Tracyley- art in progress

Hello everyone.
I thought I would do a quick post showing the progress of the Tracyley.

For those of you who don't know what the Tracyley is, where have you been?? No, seriously, it is my own creation from a Filofax A5 Domino.
Like this one below.



So my idea was to design it on fur, lace and pink.




So here is the Tracyley last night.





And then last night just before I went to bed.




And now the reveal of how it currently looks.

The glue was still wet at this point so going to give it a while to dry and then continue on Sunday night.

The Filofax Pennybridge set up

Ok. So I have finally got round to blogging my set up in the Pennybridge that I purchased from City organiser




I do really like this Filofax as it has everything you would need in a Filofax/wallet combo. I just miss the Filofax 'love of my life' my personal Deco so going to go back to her for a while.
So here is the set up.




The left hand side of the pennybridge is the wallet section. Here I have my cards and coupons that I use regularly.


I use the zip section for coins.



Then there is room for more cards and a pocket at the back for notes.



I just have a small dashboard in the pennybridge.



I don't use dividers in the pennybridge as she only has 15mm rings, but do like this divider so kept it in.


I have my train info inside for when I go to London. Eeeek, exciting!!!


And I still have my Christmas decoration from Esmé inside.


I made my personal detail page look pretty with stickers from Imy. :)


Then I still use my day-timer monthly tabs. I'm currently using Filofax cotton cream week on two pages diary. It is the ruled one from Germany. I like having the lines.


Tucked in the back I have some stickers and notes.

I do have a few other things inside such as passwords, important addresses, note paper, two clear pockets with coupons etc, but 15mm rings doesn't allow you to carry much.

So there we have a quick look into my set up of the Filofax compact Pennybridge.

A5 Dodopad for Personal Filofax

A few of us Filofax fans love using the Dodopad. I have the A5, but as I'm currently using Personal size find my dodopad going to waste. A few of us have tried in vain to get a decent grid for the personal size dodopad. It's just not possible apparently.
Tonight, the Dodopad/Filofax fans have hit back with a Dodopad hack plan.
Why not cut down the A5 size Dodopad to fit the personal size Filofax. WIN!!!!! We get a decent sized grid then for writing in, which the current personal size doesn't give us. I can't fit my lectures and other duties in that.
SO HERE US MY A5 DODOPAD HACK

We have decided to hack the current month of March to see how we get on.

The weekly pages. You lose a column off the edge, but I rarely used the last one.



The notes side. Yes you lose the text, but surely Dodopad could work around that in future????

So there we go. Please Dodopad, listen to us. I shall blog again once I have filled it all in and it is in my Filofax.

My funked up Domino

Hello everyone. Just a short post today. I've started back at uni so am shattered.

I read a blogpost by Zoe A clean slate earlier about her Domino. Iv never liked the beige cord that fastens it together and wondered whether a permanent marker would cover it up without leaving marks on your fingers when you touched it. Well Zoe did this and it worked. So that got me thinking.
I love pink, and I love the smell of sharpie pens, and luckily I had a pink sharpie pen.


So here was my A5 Domino before my attack on it.



And her it is after I finished with it.

The Mini Gainsborough Filofax Meet Up

Friday 3rd November saw the first mini Filofax meet up in Gainsborough. The event took place in Costa coffee in Marshall's Yard.



Sally brought along her personal Domino in purple, and pocket Kensington in black.



I brought with me my crimson pocket Malden and A5 finsbury in pink.



Sally uses her pocket Kensington for personal use and the domino for work.
I use my pocket Malden for personal and my finsbury for uni notes.
We chatted about how we use our diaries and I was in awe of the many different ways Sally had tried working a diary. I tend to stick with week to view and little else in the Malden, but have month to view in the finsbury.
We moved on to the wonders of post it notes, and how I use them in my Malden as to do's.
Conversation them moved on to using pocket Filofaxes as purses. We both use them for this purpose so it was good to compare.



Overall, a good time was had by all. Esmé enjoyed her mini muffins, and we enjoyed being nosy.
So there you go. An insight into the first Gainsborough Filofax meet up.
