My mini move

Hey everyone.

With all of the drama with Filofax and their "issues" I began to have planner fail.
I won't entirely blame Filofax, but I began to wonder whether I should continue to support a company that functions the way it does.

So I began to experiment.
To cut a long story short (which may well be a blogpost in the future) I have decided to downsize, to, wait for it.............................Mini.

**Gasp**

Yes I am moving to my baby Filofax the Mini Lyndhurst. This is my baby for two reasons. One it's a mini of course, and two, its the first Filofax I bought.

So I thought I would give you a quick tour of the set up. It's not very detailed as I've only moved over completely this morning.

So here he is.

I have decided to stick with my little to do post it's dashboard at the front as they are very handy.

I'm using week to view at the moment. I may purchase a German cotton cream ruled for 2013 if I stick with it. I'm using little dot stickers for colour coding as I can't fit my multi pen in there. It should also help to find when people are doing things as well.

There isn't really much happening behind the tabs at the minute. Just the usual stuff I have in other Filofaxes.

I have two clear pockets at the back for holding random bits etc.

Then I have my little red riding hood zipped holder that has also featured in other Filofax set ups of mine. I use this for money.

I'm keeping notes in the back of this for the time being. This may change, and they may end up in the front pocket. In the back pocket I have some stickers for colour coding, and vouchers. I'm also using my Filofax pen.

So there we have a quick tour of my mini set up.

The Filofaxtour2012

Today I have for you quite a photo heavy blog post, so be warned.
On 9th August me, Esmé and Melissa set off on an 8hr train adventure to stay with the lovely Imy

When we arrived in Truro, we were greeted at the station by Imy. This was to be the beginning of the #Filofaxtour2012.

Imy had printed off some signs to put in the back window of her car.
The first place we called at was Staples in Truro.

The staff were very friendly in Staples, but their Filofax display wasn't very impressive.

Next we went to check out the back to school range at Sainsburys and to buy supplies for a BBQ that night.
Esmé Filofaxing.

Lis and Esmé at the BBQ.

On Friday we went to Healey's cider farm, cos you can't beat a bit of cider when browsing through your Filofax at night.

We went on a tour of the farm and a tractor ride.

On Friday afternoon we went to Dodo towers home of Lord Dodo.

We had tea and cakes with the lovely Rebecca and made some purchases.
Lord Dodo gave Esmé an Eye-pad.

From left to right- Rebecca, Esmé, Imy, Tracy, and Melissa.

We spent Friday night drinking cider and Filofaxing.

On Saturday, the #Filofaxtour2012 took us to Plymouth.
This was the Filofax display in WH Smith.

Very impressive.

Esmé with the purchases.

We called in at Paperchase and even got a retweet on Twitter from them.

Other shops visited on Saturday included Rymans and Asda.
On Sunday, we had a pretty chilled out day and headed to the beach. That evening we watched the Olympic closing ceremony with Filofaxes and beer.

My pretty purchase from WH Smith.

Monday was our last morning together on the #Filofaxtour2012. We headed back to Staples, Tesco, and WH Smith in Truro.
Then it was time for us to travel back home.

We had a fantastic time at Imy's and can't wait to see her in September for the Philofaxy meet up.

Guest post- Esmé's Filofax

Hey everyone.

I am soo excited today to tell you that this post is a very special guest post!!!!

This guest post is a rather privileged look in to Esmé's Mini Finsbury Filofax. Esmé is my youngest daughter and is 4 years old.

When asked what she used her Filofax for she said "just scribbling things and stuff".

So without further a do, it's over to Esmé.

My mummy gave me my Filofax. I like it because it is small and pink and sweet.

I keep important things at the front like train tickets, so I can go on the train. The sticker of the Master is mummy's. She loves the Master. The chicken is mine.

Mummy made my dashboard. I wanted one because mummy has one in her Filofax which she writes things on. Mine has got mice on it though.

This is just the back of it where I write my name.

These are my animal stickers. I like stickers.

My mummy gave me the little pen to put inside so I can write things when I'm out.

This is my scribbling page where I am planning a party.

This is where I write things I need to look for, like toys and games.

I keep my money in here so it's safe.

In here I keep my spare stickers.

I got the hole punch this afternoon and put some holes in my stickers so they don't fall out of my Filofax.

So there we have Esmé's Filofax.

We hope you enjoyed this post.

Esmé would love to hear any comments you have on it.
