The Filofax personal domino review

I have been meaning to write this blogpost for quite a while now, but have never got round to it. But here it finally is. My review on the Filofax personal Domino.
The Domino in Ultra Violet can be purchased here

The Domino was never one of my favourite Filofaxes. It was never a good looking as some of them, or really in fact most of them.
The thing that struck me about this Domino was the colour. I love purple and this IS vibrant, and I
like how Filofax have called it ultra violet. It's closure is a horizontal elastic strap, which is quite discreet.

On opening the domino you are greeted with a lovely soft feeling material in grey. The card pockets look a fantastic contrast with the grey.
There is also a vertical pocket.

Although the light does make it look
Blue, it is indeed purple.

The domino comes with an 18 month diary running from July 11 to December 12.

And is a week to view.
The domino has cream A-Z tabs (2 per tab).

And also 1-6 tabs in cream.

This looks really good with the grey inside.
Next we have notepaper. The domino comes with 2 sheets of pink, orange, yellow, green and violet lined paper.

And 13 address sheets.

It also has 2 To Do sheets

A black today marker

And a top opening clear pocket.

Inside the back cover there is a vertical compartment.

Overall I think this is a basic but nice Filofax. It would make an ideal first Filofax for a male or female as it comes in a variety of colours.
It is definitely growing on me, but I don't think I would ever be a huge fan of the fastening.

Happy New Year

I would just like to take time out to wish all of my followers and readers a very happy new year!!!!
All the best for 2012!!!!!!
May the blogging continue

My December Malden set up with Day-timer diary

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a good Christmas. I have been asked by Sally for some photos of my Day-timer 2012 diary so I thought I would combine it with a set up post of Marco as I have changed back to the Malden.
Here he is in all his loveliness.
Anyway, here is the set up.

As you open the Filofax I use the zip compartment for loose change and the cards I use most often go in the card compartments. There are also some Hello Kitty post it notes from Imy in there.

Then we have as Imy calls it "The dashboard".
This is usually my first port of call in the morning. It has reminders of things I need to do, shopping lists and any other things that I might need to jot down at quick notice.

After that there is a post it note with a saying that I heard one night on tv, (I thought it was very true) and a photo of my girls.
Then we come to the Day-timer section. If you want to see what comes in the pack then have a look at the blogpost I did a few weeks ago here

Each monthly tab has a different picture. I love the Flavia. It's very colourful.

Then you get a page for notes.

On the back of the monthly tab you have the month to view. I will use this for Important things I need to remember.

The diary I chose was the week to view (or week on two pages). I have used this week as an example, and as you can see I'm not very busy (damn tonsils).

I was concerned as to whether it was going to work with uni as it has times down the middle so I wrote in my first two days back to see what it looked like.

As you can see, the left hand side of the day is for things that need to be done, and the right hand column is for appointments.

At the end of the month there is another notes page and then the next monthly tab.
I love the tabs on this too.

And then follows on to the next month.

 They are soo colourful.

After the diary we have the top tabs.

Behind the first one is my christmas section which I previously blogged about here. This section has now been further extended.

It now includes a list for writing Thank you cards, and a list of all of the presents Esmé was bought so I don't forget.

Then we have the second tab.

Behind tab 2 is my Filofax stickers, and a list of important things to remember such as passwords etc.

There is also a note in there that Imy sent me.
Behind tab 3 is a list of phone numbers, addresses and web pages I might need.
Behind tab 4 is a few to do sheets where I write down what blogposts I need to do.
Behind tab 5 is where I keep notepaper.
As well as Filofax notepaper, there is also some from Day-timer.

Then comes my today marker. This is no longer used as a today marker as i am still using the business card that Imy gave me.

I have a christmas decoration picture that Esmé did for me at school.

A clear pocket that looks after my vouchers for shopping so I don't forget them.

It also has my card holder, for my cards. Although I have seen some people use them for holding post it notes.

Inside the back cover I have some lovely post it notes tucked in.

They are a little book from Paperchase that I bought in the sale this week.

And it even has some little stickers with it.

So there we have Marco and his new set up. I hope you enjoyed reading it.

Wreck this journal-day 12

Wednesday's wreck this journal page was the following.

So I did.

After crumpling it for a bit, and throwing it around and hitting it with the book, I decided to stick it back in.

Voila. Good as new. :) - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Wreck this journal-day 11

This was from Tuesday this week. I got a bit carried away and forgot to take a photo of the page before I did it. But it was "Scribble wildly, violently, with reckless abandon". I enjoyed this one, and got a bit carried away. I tore the page. Oops.

Haha. Hope you enjoyed reading. :) - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Wreck this journal- day 10

Ok. So I haven't done this for a while. I started again on Monday but haven't blogged them. Here we go. Day 10.

My little 4 year old assistant helped me with this one. :)

Very colourful. :) - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Introducing the new member of my Filofax Family. The Balmoral M2

I said I wasn't going to buy any more Filofax, but whilst browsing on eBay I saw this gorgeous little number.

Now I had never seen an M2 Filofax before, so was very excited to see it.

Anyway. I won it, and he arrived this morning. So here he is.

Inside the front cover there are 3 horizontal card slots and a vertical pocket behind.

The same is with the back pocket too.

On the outside of the back cover there is also a little pocket. How awesome!!!!

I put it next to a pocket Malden so it would give you an idea of his size, but it didn't do him justice.

So I put him next to my mini zipped lyndhurst.

The Balmoral came with a 2005 week to view diary which can easily replaced.

It also came with notepaper

Address sheets

And To Do sheets.

In fact, he was pretty much crammed full.

I really like him and have yet to think of a name for him.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my new addition. :)
